Selecting the Perfect Vendors

When you see a beautiful wedding come to life, there was a team of high-quality vendors working countless hours to make that happen. Whether it was solving last-minute problems, settling disputes amongst guests and family members, or even calming the bride or groom down when they’re getting cold feet. It’s all in a day’s work. As a couple, it is important to find the vendors that are best for your style, budget, and personality.

I tell my couples all the time to figure out their non-negotiables. Some of the main questions I always ask include “What are the must-haves for this wedding? What do you want the guests to talk about after the wedding?” Some couples want over-the-top floral designs, great catering, and music, others want great photography, videography, and a nice location. After those questions are answered, the couples can rearrange the budget that prioritizes those needs and find the right vendors to bring the vision of your big day to life.

Also, it’s important to make note of the fact that some venues have very strict policies on vendors. For example, you probably won’t be able to bring in the planner you want to work with or the chef that you wanted to cook your meal. If you decide to bring in vendors that aren’t on their “preferred vendor list”, be prepared to pay an outside fee on top of the booking price for their venue. It can cause you to go over budget if you’re not careful.

In conclusion, having vendors that specialize in what you love for your big day will make the entire process worth it!
